Impress your brunch guests with these delicious mini galettes! Use your favorite fruit and add in some collagen for a sweet treat with sweet benefits for your hair, skin, nails and joints.
- ¾ cup whole wheat flour
- ¾ cup all purpose flour
- ½ cup cold butter, cubed
- ½ tsp salt
- 4-6 tbsp ice water
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- ⅓ cup blueberries
- 1 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp all purpose flour
- Pinch sea salt
- 2 scoops Great Lakes Wellness Unflavored Collagen
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp water
Serves 3; Serving Size: 1 galette
Preheat the oven to 375 F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, stir together the filling ingredients and set aside.
Place all the crust ingredients besides the water into a food processor. Pulse 5 times for 5 seconds each time. The butter should be in small chunks. Add in 2 tablespoons of water and pulse. Add in 2 more tablespoons and pulse again. You should have moistened, pea-size chunks of dough. Separate the dough into 3 evenly sized balls and place them on a clean, floured surface. Roll out the dough balls until they are roughly 6-inches wide. Top each one with filling, leaving about an inch of room around the edge. Fold in the edges. Whisk together the egg wash and brush over the crust. Bake the galettes for 25-30 minutes until golden.
