Makes 4 pops, depending on the size of the molds
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1 cup cold water
- 3 tablespoons honey or pure maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons (36 g) Great Lakes Wellness Beef Gelatin
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Natural food coloring, in 3 colors
Directions
- Pour the cold water into a medium saucepan. Sprinkle the Beef Gelatin evenly over the surface and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- Add the milk, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Whisk to combine.
- Heat over medium-low heat for 3–4 minutes, whisking gently, until the gelatin has dissolved completely and the mixture is hot. Do not allow it to simmer or boil.
- Remove from the heat and divide the mixture evenly among three glasses or liquid measuring cups.
- Add a different natural food coloring to each glass. Use a handheld milk frother or small whisk to blend until the color is even.
- Pour the mixture into dinosaur popsicle molds while it is still warm, then insert the popsicle sticks.
- Freeze for 3–4 hours, or until completely frozen.
- To release, run the outside of the molds under warm water for a few seconds and gently pull the pops free. Enjoy right away.
Store leftover pops in an airtight container or freezer bag in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
