Lavender Limeade

Lavender Limeade
A tart and a fruity drink for those long summer days. The lavender adds a soothing taste to this tart drink made with Great Lakes Lemon-Lime Collagen.

Ingredients

For lavender simple syrup:
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1/4 c granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp dried lavender
  • For limeade:
  • 2 c cold water
  • 4 scoops Great Lakes Gelatin® Co. Lemon-Lime Collagen
  • Lavender simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: lime slices, lavender sprigs
  • Directions

  • To make the lavender simple syrup, add 1/4 c water, sugar, and lavender to a small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves
  • Simmer for 1 min
  • Remove from heat and let sit at room temp for 30 min
  • Strain mixture to extract syrup
  • Pour 1 c cold water into each serving glass
  • Stir in 2 scoops Lemon-Lime Collagen into each glass
  • Fill the glasses with ice
  • Top with 1 tbsp cooled lavender simple syrup (adjust amount per taste preference)
  • Optional: garnish with lime slice and/or lavender sprig
